FORT WORTH, Texas The University of Houston Women’s Golf program closes out its regular season when it competes at The Bruzzy, beginning Monday morning at Waterchase Golf Club.
The Cougars will play 36 holes Monday with the Final Round teeing off Tuesday morning at the 6,277-yard, par-72 course.
This will be the Cougars’ final regular-season tournament of the year before heading to the American Athletic Conference Championships later this month.

Under the leadership of Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Gummthe Cougars will be represented by senior Ariana Saenzsenior Annie Kimsophomore Nicole Abelarsophomore Delaney Martin and senior Maria Jose Martinez.
This season, Kim leads the Cougars with a 73.33 scoring average and 10 rounds of par or better, including four in the 60s. The Seoul native has enjoyed a pair of Top-10 finishes, including a fourth-place showing at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 4-6, 2021.
Martinez stands second among the Cougars with a 74.76 average, while Saenz and Martin are tied for second with seven sub-par rounds each.
The Cougars will compete against student-athletes from No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Texas, no. 17 Baylor, no. 21 Texas Tech, No. 30 TCU, no. 37 Iowa State, no. 49 Oklahoma, Charlotte, Kansas, Tulsa, Tulsa and host and 46th-ranked North Texas.

Following The Bruzzy Houston takes its first steps in the postseason when it competes at the American Athletic Conference Championships, set for April 17-19 at Pinehurst # 6 – Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC
The Cougars will learn their NCAA postseason Fate during the Selection Show, airing at 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, on the Golf Channel.
Seventy-two teams and 12 individuals not on those teams will compete at six NCAA Regional sites across the Nation. Those Venues include Stanford Golf Course (Stanford, Calif.); Vanderbilt Legends Club (Franklin, Tenn.); The Championship Course at UNM (Albuquerque, NM); University of Michigan Golf Course (Ann Arbor, Mich.); Karsten Creek Golf Club (Stillwater, Okla.) And Seminole Legacy Golf Club (Tallahassee, Fla.).
