Do the 2022 NHL playoffs still have the COVID format?
No, the 2022 NHL playoffs are going back to its normal four-round postseason format. The league shuffled things around during COVID-19′s peak, but this season will have eight teams from both conferences (top three teams in each division and two Wild Card teams).
Teams that won their division will play the Wild Card teams and the No. 2 and No. 3 teams will play each other in the first round. Each series is best of seven.
