St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls volleyball defeats Bethel – Times-Herald

The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls volleyball team defeated Jesse Bethel on Monday in four games, as the Bruins won 24-26, 25-23, 25-14, 25-19.

The Bruins were led by Faith Oller, who had 23 digs, while Cierra Ray had 10 kills. Ava Legaspi had 14 assists and Olivia Butcher had three aces.

St. Pat’s improved to 12-7 and 4-1 in the Tri-County Athletic League with the win.

For Bethel, Vanya Paopao had seven kills, four assists and four digs. Alissa Projillo had 13 digs and four kills, while Breeana Santos had 10 digs and Taylor Enriquez had four digs. Precillia Williams had nine assists for the Jaguars, who fell to 3-3 on the season.

College Soccer

United Soccer Coaches awarded the Team Academic Award to Cal Maritime men’s and women’s soccer

For their academic success throughout the 2021-22 year, Cal Maritime’s men’s and women’s soccer teams each earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches.

This organization recognized both Keelhauler soccer programs for their outstanding performance in the classroom, since each posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Cal Maritime was one of only 162 schools across the nation, at all collegiate levels (Division I, II, III, NAIA) to earn Distinction for both intercollegiate teams.

Both teams will continue the 2022 season with a road game on Sunday against Cal Pac Conference Rival Pacific Union, the men will kick-off at noon followed by the Women’s game at 3:30 pm
