Ole Miss basketball will be without leading scorer Matthew Murrell against Missouri on Tuesday night, the team announced. No future timetable was provided.
Murrell left Ole Miss’ loss at Arkansas on Saturday at the 14:13 mark of the second half and did not return after his right leg was stepped on. Following the game, Coach Kermit Davis said it was a knee issue.

Murrell, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Memphis, started all 19 of Ole Miss’ games to this point. He averages 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.
Ole Miss (9-10, 1-6 SEC) is looking for its first home SEC win of the season. Missouri (14-5, 3-4) is looking to bounce back after losing by 21 to No. 2 Alabama is Saturday.
Murrell’s injury adds to an already-shorthanded Rebels squad.
Ole Miss freshman forward Malique Ewin hasn’t played since Jan. 10. Reports surfaced Tuesday that he is being investigated for his involvement in a Fatal one-car incident on Jan. 13, which resulted in the death of a campus visitor.
