The Kentucky basketball team begins its 2022-23 season Wednesday evening nearly 1,000 miles from Rupp Arena with an exhibition game against the Dominican Republic National Select Team in the Bahamas.

The Wildcats and the Dominicans are scheduled to tip off at 7 pm (SEC Network) inside a converted Ballroom at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau. Wednesday’s exhibition is the first of UK’s four-game Caribbean slate, which continues Thursday night against Mexico’s Tec De Monterrey.

UK basketball player CJ Fredrick (1) is preparing for the upcoming season. He was at the Joe Craft Center practice facility in Lexington, Ky. is Sep. 22, 2021.
