Fernando Gaviria and Lawrence Naesen undergo surgeries on collarbone fractures

Fernando Gaviria (UAE Team Emirates) and Lawrence Naesen (AG2R Citroën) have both undergone surgeries to fix fractured collarbones sustained in crashes at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday.

“Victim of a fall in the first kilometers of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Lawrence Naesen will be operated on this evening for multiple fractures of the collarbone. The duration of his unavailability will be known later,” AG2R Citroën wrote in a medical update after the race.
