With folks stepping up with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsorships, the city’s youth organizations will again be the big winners. From soccer to baseball, whatever funds come in, it’ll be used to upgrade facilities or perhaps provide Scholarships to a child who might otherwise be unable to pay a registration fee.

On the fifth hole, the Deer Park Seminoles football program had set up a large tent with drinks and snacks and even a challenging game in which golfers tried to accurately threw a football into one of three holes worked into a netted backstop.

Online pre-K registration underway

Deer Park ISD is currently conducting online pre-kindergarten registration for new student enrollment. Registration officially closes on April 30.

There are six steps to completing a child’s enrollment and getting the ball Rolling towards an eventual high school Diploma.

One must provide proof of residency, provide a birth certificate that was issued by the state, provide an immunization record along with the child’s social security card and finally, a parent’s ID such as a Texas driver’s license.

If a family already has enrolled a child, that means it has a family access account and can return to that account. Once in your account, click on the “online new student enrollment” button.

Contact the early childhood center at 832-668-8390 for more information or go to the website at ecc.dpisd.org.

For regular kindergarten registration, it will come to a close on Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday, April 13. On Tuesday, it will be held from 8 am to 7 pm and on Wednesday, it will go from 8 am to 4 pm

The school district emphasizes that the online enrollment does not replace the physical attendance of Kinder registration at that specific child’s school. If a child is enrolled at the Early Childhood Center, there is no need to participate in Kinder registration. A child will automatically be enrolled in DPISD elementary school.
