Dallas Mavericks play spikeball as warmup for practice

The Dallas Mavericks are out here warming up by playing one of summer’s most popular games.

The Mavericks’ Twitter account posted a video of Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., JJ Barea and Maxi Kleber playing spikeball. Basketball prioritizes quick-twitch muscles and fast reactions, so watching the group of Mavs succeed at playing the game was not surprising.

The four seemed to have fun playing spikeball, and the game probably helped provide a cool change of pace to practice.

The Mavericks are currently ranked seventh in the Western Conference and have not officially clinched a playoff berth. They will play their first seeding game on July 31 against the Houston Rockets.
